The Casting
Arrive and there are loads of models and actors, I guess it is going to be a long wait. The casting is for a TV Commercial, a big one, hence all the people here. After a few hours I rush out to get a drink and 4 hours later I go in to cast! So to people who don’t know, and think the business is easy, just think you could spend the whole day waiting at a casting and not even get picked to cast! For this casting they are looking for a cave woman, so I change into some fake leather and act like a crazy monkey for about 10 minutes! This is where the old Method acting comes in handy! Finally, I get dressed and leave to find a parking ticket waiting for me!

THURSDAY 16th JANUARY 2003
I went to ‘The Salon’. Well, if ya have seen the Channel 4 television show, you know what it is. I had a pedicure with Beria, and a good chat with Ricardo. Then I’m off to more model castings.

Oh well, ya have to read it - they ask ya some nasty questions, which I can’t repeat! In the evening I drive to Bournemouth because I’ve got to shoot the ‘Boys Toys’ cover tomorrow. I arrive at the hotel and go to the gym. I have dinner alone in the hotel restaurant. I have never done that before, but I didn’t feel like ‘room service’. Anyway, it was an experience - I ate real fast!

WEDNESDAY 29th JANUARY 2003
Boys Toys Magazine Photo Shoot
9.00am hair and makeup in the room. Now you can see why I can’t DJ the night before shooting - you always have to be up early! After makeup we go to the Bournemouth Opera House. Oh my goodness, it is so cold! I am shooting in underwear, on the decks, with an ice cold wind machine! The pictures look great, though. Look out for them in the April/May edition.

‘Company’ magazine are doing a story on ‘the best lie I ever told’. Um, well I lied about my bra size for a Bra Ad once and ended up getting the campaign. Check out ‘Company’ magazine April/May issue.
In the evening I play at Goldsmith University. The crowd are heavy, and I have a great time. There’s nothing like DJing in your home towns!
